One of My Favorite Quotes...

“The Master in the art of living makes little distinction between his work and his play, his labor and his leisure, his mind and his body, his education and his recreation, his love and his religion. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence in whatever he does, leaving others to decide whether he is working or playing. To him he is always doing both.”

Project AR15 pt 1: LAR Grizzly-15, Lower Receiver as my Blank Canvas

Project AR15 pt 1: LAR Grizzly-15, Lower Receiver as my Blank Canvas

Join me as I create and build the near perfect piece of machinery and America's rifle, the AR-15. Or at least close to it, with my vision and how I view the rifle. I'll be getting parts from various places like online stores and brick and mortar shops, so this AR-15 post will be done in parts as they come in. So in essence, it's going to be like Christmas very few days for me until it's complete. Hopefully it'll be completed soon so I can test it and run it through its paces like any good tool should...

Project AR15 pt 1: LAR Grizzly-15, Lower Receiver as my Blank Canvas

So, as my first post, I give you what I call my blank canvas. I really do view them as art. Much like cars. Anyways, here's a stripped LAR Grizzly-15 lower receiver that was bought a few years ago around the "two weeks" era, early in the OLL (Off List Lower) movement. Royal Loan in San Diego did the DROS and paperwork in case you were wondering. Also, visit CalGuns.net, the California Firearms Owner's home on the internet for more information regarding the laws or any questions you may have about these tools...

And this receiver basically laid peacefully in a box waiting for its turn to be built until now. This naked beauty is going to be all dressed up and ready to party. Of course and always in a safe manner as all responsible gun owners do. So, come back soon for the latest news on this build... this is going to be awesome and in my eyes and others like me, a work of art!!!
