Dinner: BJ's Restaurant @ La Mesa/SD

Last night, had some late dinner at BJ's Restaurant in La Mesa/San Diego in the Grossmont Shopping Center. This is the usual Plan B spot when figuring out other places to go to becomes too much of a chore. Besides, it's a pretty chill vibe and has ample amount of customers to do some people watching...

Grab a pitcher of beer (Harvest Hefeweizen) to wet the palette and to make myself comfortable before the food arrives. Here's the description taken on their site..."Not just another wheat beer. Our Hefeweizen is fermented with authentic Bavarian weizen yeast to produce its unique flavor profile - fruity, spicy, and refreshing. Try it without a lemon!".

I wanted something pretty light and ended up getting the Grilled Shrimp Tacos. Taken off their site..."Chargrilled shrimp wrapped in our special tortilla with chipotle mayonnaise, Santa Fe dressing, Napa cabbage, carrots, red onions and cilantro. Served with tortilla chips, avocado cream sauce and fire-roasted tomato salsa". An this really did hit the spot for me...

Then here's the other entrees from our table... the BJ's Mini Barbeque Chicken Pizza. "Hickory-smoked BBQ sauce, red onions, seasoned tomatoes, cilantro and BBQ Chicken breast".

BJ's Parmesan Crusted Chicken. "Our marinated chicken breasts coated with Parmesan cheese and crunchy Panko bread crumbs, lightly pounded and pan fried to a golden brown. Served with white cheddar mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli and topped with a lemon Chardonnay butter sauce, sun-dried tomatoes, fresh basil and Parmesan cheese." For some reason this dish is always being ordered no matter what group of people I'm with. It must be that good. Got to try this next time...

And of course, there's dessert. We went with BJ's Famous White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Pazookie. "You’re never too old to enjoy our freshly baked, hot out of the oven, rich and delicious cookie topped with two scoops of vanilla bean ice cream and served in its own deep dish.Your choice of Chocolate Chunk, White Chocolate Macadamia Nut, Peanut Butter or Oatmeal Raisin Walnut.". We usually don't get dessert after having dinner. Maybe that's because I'm usually too stuffed when it's time to have them. But, I had a light meal and had this sweet tooth I needed to take care of that I've been having all day. The Pazookie took care of that for me as well as the others...
