One of My Favorite Quotes...

“The Master in the art of living makes little distinction between his work and his play, his labor and his leisure, his mind and his body, his education and his recreation, his love and his religion. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence in whatever he does, leaving others to decide whether he is working or playing. To him he is always doing both.”

Cheesecake Factory in Mission Valley/SD

There has been a lot of talk with my buddy, Hoheezee, about the different kinds of chicken nachos we've tried in the past and which made the list of greatness. And we've had this very same discussion numerous times to no end. The chicken nachos that keeps coming up as being one of the best happens to be The Cheesecake Factory's version of it. So it was time for a revisit after having not been there for quite some time. I can't even remember the last time I've been there...

The Cheesecake Factory's Complimentary Bread

Since it was a weekend night, there was some wait to get a table. Fortunately, the wait wasn't as long as I thought it would be and got a table in no time. As usual, we were given some complimentary bread to snack on while we wait for our order. Didn't want to eat too much bread, but damn do I love them! I have to resist temptation for a bit longer as the appetizer came soon after...

For appetizer, the Cheesecake Factory's Factory Chicken Nachos was in order. With all the talk I've had about it, I needed to get it or the mission to eat nachos would have been a major fail. It's crisp tortilla chips covered with melted cheeses, guacamole, sour cream and salsa with spicy chicken. Didn't feel any kick/heat to the chicken and I'm pretty sensitive to spices of any kind.

I ended up getting the Chicken Marsala and Mushrooms as my entree. It's chicken breast sauteed with fresh mushrooms in a rich marsala wine sauce. Served over bow tie pasta. It had good/big portions, but for some reason, I thought past servings I've had along time ago were larger. Then again, it quite some time ago. The meal was good though...

And then there's the White Chicken Chili. It's a generous bowl of chicken, white beans, roasted green chiles, onions, garlic, spices and a touch of cream. Garnished with steamed white rice and fresh salsa. It looked good and I'm sure it was...

In the end, the mission was a success. The Cheesecake Factory's chicken nachos were awesome and it's still number one in my book. And that was the main or should I say the only reason why we came to visit them. With my stomach stuffed in a good way, I'm happy as can be. But the search continues to find other great chicken nachos in the San Diego region to satisfy my hunger. What can I say, I just love food. Until next time, happy eating...
