One of My Favorite Quotes...

“The Master in the art of living makes little distinction between his work and his play, his labor and his leisure, his mind and his body, his education and his recreation, his love and his religion. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence in whatever he does, leaving others to decide whether he is working or playing. To him he is always doing both.”

Leatherman Wave Multi Tool/Knife

Every man/boy should own at least one multi tool. And if you don't and are looking, the Leatherman Wave is one I'd looked into. This multi tool is just awesome and smooth. Fortunately for me, this was given to me by my dad from his work. You can see that by looking at the blade. I have to say that this is the best pair I have owned and I owned a few. Many of the multi tools that I've owned didn't include a leather sheath. So, this holster/carrying case was a welcome surprise.

As mentioned, I've owned many multi tools in my short lifetime and some of them cheap. I won't get into naming them, but I vowed never to buy cheap tools again. Nothing pisses me off when a tool failing when you need it most. Luckily, I don't have to worry about that with the Leatherman Wave or Leatherman in general. They're just pretty darn good quality wise and haven't disappointed me yet. More photos here...

It's about the same size and shape as most multi tools of this kind. I guess what sets them apart from the others is how smooth and easy it is when you open and pull out the specific tool needed. I haven't held all the multi tools out there, but I would say is that the weight feels just about right. The Leatherman Wave basically has all the standard/basic tools that may be needed for common issues. More photos here...

Here's a product description off of Amazon... "The Wave Multitool From Leatherman: Better than Ever. The most popular full-size Leatherman tool is now better than ever. Larger knives, stronger pliers, longer wire cutters and all-locking blades make the new Wave an essential piece of equipment for any job or adventure. The pliers have been redesigned to withstand more than double the previous squeezing load, and the new bronze bushing makes one-handed knife access a smooth operation -- plus, the one-at-a-time blade selection function means that the tool you want is the tool you get. The versatile Wave comes with a durable and attractive leather/nylon combination sheath." More photos here...

Now the question is, is it worth it? I know it's somewhat costly and for some definitely out of your price range. It also doesn't help that I received the Leatherman Wave multi tool from my dad. If I never did get this from my dad, it would be a matter of time that I'd be buying this to add to the drawer of everyday tools. The others that I've owned just don't last long. So yes, it's worth it. It won't break down and it'll last you as long as you use it as it's intended to be used. Like, don't use it as a hammer. It'll be your only multi tool you'll need for a long time.
