One of My Favorite Quotes...

“The Master in the art of living makes little distinction between his work and his play, his labor and his leisure, his mind and his body, his education and his recreation, his love and his religion. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence in whatever he does, leaving others to decide whether he is working or playing. To him he is always doing both.”

Photos of the AT&T HTC Surround Phone

I got my hands on AT&T's HTC Surround and took some detailed photos of it. And it's a pretty sweet phone by the looks of it. I don't have experience with the phone other than messing around with for a day or two and taking pics of it. So, this isn't a review but just some photos to share with the rest of you. It was also my first time playing with the Microsoft Windows Phone 7 OS and thought that it was an easy straight forward phone to use. It's no more difficult or easy to use than your typical smartphone you have these days. And to be honest, it was refreshing in the world of Apple and Android domination. Plus the speakers lived up to its name. Here are the pics...

The above photo shows what's included with the HTC Surround other than the usual papers you find. A headset, battery, charger/USB cable and of course the phone itself are what's included. The photos below show the front and back as well as the front and back of it when you slide the speakers out. When you slide the speakers out, you find a neat little kick stand for those times you rather have it propped up than laying flat. You can find more photos here...

The next set of images shows the HTC Surround and Apple iPhone 4 right beside each other. Also showing both front and back of the phones for comparison. As you can see, there's not much difference in size and weight. I know numbers may show otherwise, but in the real world, you can't really tell the difference. More photos here...

Using the Windows Phone 7 was smooth and fast. I'm actually really impressed with it, even though there are some minor things that need to be addressed. And I'm sure they're working on it and hopefully can get my hands on another set to see how the next updates improve things. On the downside, there's not much accessories for the phone and application availability is nowhere near the Apple and Android offerings. But only time will tell...
