Here are some photos of some Filipino food that was made some time ago. The first photo is a noodle dish called Pancit Malabon, which happens to be my mom's version. And the other is a dessert called Ube "purple yam" Halaya. Usually you'd top it off with coconut or sugar, but this time we mixed it up a bit and added cheese instead. We had an extra block of cheese in the fridge and decided to give it a shot. The cheese was a welcome surprise to say the least...
