One of My Favorite Quotes...

“The Master in the art of living makes little distinction between his work and his play, his labor and his leisure, his mind and his body, his education and his recreation, his love and his religion. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence in whatever he does, leaving others to decide whether he is working or playing. To him he is always doing both.”

Sandwiches from Panera Bread! Yum!

It's no secret that I love the sandwiches at Panera Bread. They're so light and tasty, yet they're also fulfilling. And lets not forget about their delicious soups. I've posted photos on this blog a few times and here are some new ones to share. The first one is a Asiago Roast Beef Sandwich. Being shown is half a sandwich. The sandwich is asiago cheese demi with roast beef, smoked cheddar, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and horseradish spread. It was so good and I really think that the spread is what made the sandwich ok to good.

Then there's the Smoked Ham and Swiss from Panera. The Asiago Roast Beef is one of their Signature Sandwiches and the Smoked Ham and Swiss is their Cafe Sandwiches. The smoked ham and swiss is on stone milled rye with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, salt and pepper. I took a bite and it was pretty good. I felt nothing extraordinary about it. I actually prefer their signature sandwiches or hot paninis over it.

And I can't forget the awesome Broccoli Cheddar Soup. I don't know what it is. But I just keep coming back to it every time we go to Panera Bread. The other soups here are just as good and in general, I don't order soup. As strange as it sounds, I order more soup here than I have at other restaurants combined. I don't eat soup often, but theirs is like crack to me. I just got to have me some if I enter those doors.

  1. Mmmm I love Panera Bread! Haven't tried the soup yet but love the sandwiches, tea, and baked goods. I also love the atmosphere - the music, the decor, and the people just chillin and using the free wi fi and visiting with friends. Hmm Now I'm hungry.

  2. @Lisa... I agree, the atmosphere is pretty mellow. You should definitely try their soups some time and let me know what you think of it. Now that makes two of use being hungry. Off to the kitchen...
