I love cinnamon rolls in general, but I usually don't go out of my way for them. This time around, I had one of those online coupons for these delicious rolls from Homies Cinnamon Rolls in the East Village of Downtown San Diego. What an awesome name! I mean, how can you pass up a good deal? Little did we know we went for the half dozen large rolls instead of the regular sizes. The rolls we got were freakin' huge! I really would have been happy with eating half a roll, but you know me, I don't quit when it comes to food. So I ended up finishing that roll like a big boy that I am. I'm so proud of myself...
To be more specific, we got the Homies Raging Raisin Cinnamon Roll. What another fun name. I wish I had a cross-cut photo to share. I got to keep that in mind next time. No joke, the rolls have to be some of the best I've tasted. It wasn't dry and it had plenty of raisins, cinnamon, and that delicious sugary gooey frosting. The frosting was out of this world and literally leaked in between the layers of the rolls when warm. So good!
Besides the Raging Raisin cinnamon rolls, they also have Original, Awesome Apple and Pecan Pleasure. Now that I look back at it, I should have gotten some other flavors to try out instead of getting all of one kind. Those other flavors are starting to call to me. Some may say that's crazy talk, but I hear them sometimes. HAHAHA! At least that gives me a reason to come back.
To be honest, I messed up. I only bought one coupon when I should have bought more. That's what sucks about these coupons sometimes. It's such a gamble when you want to try out new places that are out of your norm that you don't want to be stuck with extra coupons. That shit cost money. Then there are times when you hit the jackpot like Homies Cinnamon Rolls and wished you bought more. I guess that's the nature of the beast, but I'm glad they exist so I can get my grub on. But man I should of got more. Check them out...

One of My Favorite Quotes...
“The Master in the art of living makes little distinction between his work and his play, his labor and his leisure, his mind and his body, his education and his recreation, his love and his religion. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence in whatever he does, leaving others to decide whether he is working or playing. To him he is always doing both.”
