One of My Favorite Quotes...

“The Master in the art of living makes little distinction between his work and his play, his labor and his leisure, his mind and his body, his education and his recreation, his love and his religion. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence in whatever he does, leaving others to decide whether he is working or playing. To him he is always doing both.”

More of The Beer Company, San Diego

This is my second visit to The Beer Company in downtown San Diego. With me being satisfied about the first visit, why not check it out again. Besides, there was a Groupon coupon to be used with more waiting to be used. I also wanted to check out some of the games on TV. Damn, don't you just love these deals?!? It gives me every reason to go out and grub with my BlackBerry in tow to document this adventure for the blog. But enough with this talk and onto the more important stuff like food...

Brewery Sample - The Beer Company in Downtown San Diego

Feeling a bit more hungry than usual, we wanted to get some appetizers but didn't know what. The waitress suggested the Brewery Sampler and we were Ok with it. The sampler consisted of calamari, wings, and onion rings. It's your standard affair and nothing really memorable about it. The only thing that got to me was the wings and how spicy it was. I don't take spicy food well and took one bite of it and was done. I didn't think it would be that spicy and the menu didn't state that as well. So I was a bit surprised of how much heat was in it.

Kobe Burger - The Beer Company in Downtown San Diego

The last time I was here I remember reading about the Kobe Burger but ended up ordering the Mushroom and Onion Burger. So, I knew what I wanted from the get-go. The Kobe burger is 8 ounces grilled with my choice of cheese; I got Swiss and bacon, pineapple, and mushrooms. The meal comes with fries and I got the steak fries. Much like the sampler, it was ok and not that memorable. It's definitely not worth the price tag on this meal at $14.50. In fact, I remember enjoying the Mushroom and Onion burger more than this.

Meatball Sandwich - The Beer Company in Downtown San Diego

My buddy got the Meatball Sandwich. Its basically meatballs topped with marinara sauce and melted provolone cheese served warm on a French roll. I'm known to be easy to please when it comes to food. The food must be bad it I don't like it. Well, my buddy is even easier to please. I don't think I've ever heard him talk badly about food. So with that said, he was satisfied. Nothing more, nothing less...
